A few weeks ago, Aoife Nic Cormaic asked me to join her on the 'The Rolling Wave' on RTÉ Radio 1 to talk about an album or an artist who has inspired me in some way. It didn't take me long to select this CD - The Nervous Man by Mícheál Ó Raghallaigh. I was a young teen when he released this CD - an impressionable time, and it just caught me! The CD and the workshops I attended with Mícheál were hugely inspiring to me. I ate this CD for a couple of years, I knew every cut, roll, double octave...! I also love the accompaniment on this CD by Eoghan O'Brien on guitar, Michael Rooney on harp and the character Frank McGann on bodhran. These men became 'celebrities' in my eyes after this CD 😆 I hope I do it and Mícheál justice on tonight's show.

Thanks to John Whelan for inviting us along to his session last night. 95 of you joined us and played along with our reels and jigs, even two special guests in Ashbourne, Co.Meath (thanks mam and dad 😁) It's a great series - weekly sessions with different musicians 'hosting' alongside John every week.
